These days I was reading the books of petros Márkaris. i liked it a lot and I would like to present it to all these readers who, when they see a greek name, fly away. that ignorance towards the great Greek authors must end today, my dear ones !!!
Petro Márkaris was born in Istanbul in 1937. He did not stay there. He studied economics in Vienna and Stuttgart. Then, he settled in Athens, where he has resided since then.

Petros Márkaris was a film screenwriter. Wrote the screenplay of "The look of Ulysses" with Theo Angelópoulos Another one of my Greek Essentials !!! And Ulysses reminds me of a friend. I cried once because you did not like my poetry. Remember B. C.?

The great character of the pen of Márkaris is the Athenian commissar Kostas Jaritos. His series of novels is emblematic and analyzes the past and the future of Greece. I would tell them that it even allows us to see their future possibilities.

I recommend them as the doctor recommends a medicine for the Soul. You will see . . Conociendo a Petros Márkaris

Con Cariño para Baris

En estos días estuve leyendo los libros de Petros Márkaris. Me han gustado mucho y me gustaría presentarlo a todos aquellos lectores que cuando ven un nombre griego salen volando. Esa ignorancia hacia los grandes autores griegos debe terminar hoy, mis estimad@s!!!

Petros Márkaris nació en Estambul en el año 1937. No se quedó allí. Curso sus estudios de ciencias económicas en Viena y en Stuttgart. Luego, se estableció en Atenas, lugar en el que reside desde entonces.

Petros Márkaris fue guionista de cine. Escribió el guión de “La mirada de Ulises” con Theo Angelópoulos ¡¡¡Otro de mis Imprescindibles Griegos!!! Y Ulises me recuerda a un amigo. Una vez lloré porque no te gustaba mi poesía ¿Recuerdas B. C.?

El gran personaje de la pluma de Márkaris es el comisario ateniense Jostas Jaritos. Su serie de novelas es emblemática y analiza el pasado y el futuro de Grecia. Les diría que hasta nos permite ver sus posibilidades de futuro.

Se los recomiendo como el doctor recomienda una medicina para el Alma. Verán . . . el problema que tenemos en Occidente es que cada vez se lee menos y cada vez se mira menos cine de autor y se reemplaza al séptimo arte por una  fórmula comercial e igualitaria. Es como si la globalización tratará de uniformar al otro porque impone un sistema de valores en el que se debe anglozajonizar todo, por las dudas ¿Vio?

Digo yo ¿Acaso Grecia no es la cuna de Nuestra Civilización? Cada vez veo jóvenes más ignorantes en cuanto a Grecia, el origen de la Democracia y de la Cultura a la cual pertenecen y eso me hace mucho daño. Estaré tratando de recomendar un libro de Petros Márkaris por mes en el próximo año. Dios mediante así será. Abrazos de Argentina para tod@s . . .
