Reading Archeology: Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt

This week I read Angela's Ashes. Book written by Frank McCourt, who at 66 years old narrated his childhood in Ireland.

The copy you enjoy has the Spanish translation of Carlos José Restrepo. It belongs to the second edition made by Editorial Norma.
The novel was printed in Buenos Aires around January 1998.
The book tells the whole childhood and adolescence of Frank Mc Court. That's why I'm going to tell you a little about your life without spoiling your book.
Mc Court was born in New York in 1930 and when he was three and a half years old, his family went to live in Limerick, Ireland.
Frank McCourt with his family endured serious illnesses, work and regrets before returning to the United States at nineteen.
At twenty, Mc Court joined the US Army serving his homeland for two years in Germany. He later joined the University of New York and graduated in 1957 becoming a brilliant professor.
I totally recommend your reading. A person may not have Celtic origins and love this work without hypocrecia.
