The Reek of the Rain - 1914

Your love
like lightning
illuminates everything.
It is not always kind. . .

Sometimes it's a scream
that when crossing a bridge
listen to a tiny man
visiting an asylum.

El Requiebro de la Lluvia - 1914

Tu amor
como un rayo
ilumina todo.
No siempre es amable. . .

A veces es un grito
que al cruzar un puente
escucha un diminuto hombre
visitando un manicomio.

Reading Archeology: David Rey and Jaime Barylko

. . . "While man sings to God,
the angel of Death
can not access it. " . .
Jaime Barylko

After a long time without posting I return to the ring. The question is: What am I going to write? Well, if you do not have anything important to say, it is better not to say anything. But I have something to share with you, my loved ones. . .
These days I was reading a very interesting book. What if. I continue with my whim ... I want to urge you to read. Nothing exalts the Human Being more than study. I have been studying for months.
The book I wish to recommend is David Rey by Jaime Barylko. It was written with great love and knowledge because it is documented in the Bible and in the great commentators of the Middle Ages.
This book of 249 pages was published under the EMECÉ seal and tells us about the ancestor of the Messiah. He tells us details like David Rey spends his life from the profane to the sacred.
In this novel, Barylko asks and asks all Humanity. Can the most religious man be at the same time the most sinful?
Good question, I hope that Humanity has one day the answer. . .

His father threw acid in her face

When a friend tells you that one of her friends got acid in her face and that it was her father, the aggressor, the first thing that occurs to you is to ask: Is that true? Yes. It is true. It does not matter if it happens in Afghanistan, in Bulgaria or on the moon. It hurts a lot and how it hurts.

In Argentina they kill a woman every 24 hours or so and most judges do nothing to avoid it. The police have their hands tied by politicians who do not legislate properly and cut their budgets and the ability to react when they have to push the patrols because they break or run out of gasoline. Lives are lost for political corruption in Argentina.

As you will see these days I did not feel like writing on the blog. I write little and nothing lately and I write for you, girls. Yes. It is only for you that I write ... What can we say about it?

Psychologists, sociologists, politicians can look for explanations for the inexplicable. Women continue to be the victims. We do not have to be victims. They force us to be. We are living an awful moment in history. The laws and the current culture are decimating us. What are they waiting for? When will they change? How are they going to take care of their Mothers, Sisters, Wives, Daughters, Nieces? Fellow citizens?

The first thing that both men and women have to do is listen. You see, my Friends in Argentina, I call them Sisters. With my Sisters I learned to share. As a collective I would like you not to be angry when I show you what I consider to be an error on our part. Many get angry.

With my Muslim Sisters I find an oasis of True Love and Struggle. And here I am referring to how they are treated between them. They are affectionate. We too. However, we have to learn to express the affection we carry inside. When they speak to you their heart speaks with them. With you I learned that I do not need a certain color or a handkerchief or a shout to Fight.

Argentine girls have to learn from oriental girls. I know they do not like self-criticism but that's the way it is. Let's learn from our Muslim Sisters to listen and then answer the questions. They are fighting in solitude. Let's not leave them alone. They are other Us.

¡Cuándo van a cambiar?

Peace in the world . . .

Peace is made in Love, from Love and towards Love with daily gestures of Acceptance and Respect.

We are so different and so human in our equality.

Your heart and mine are happy and sad for the same reasons. Our countries suffer the same injustices.

Merry Christmas and may God bless us all!

The Reek of the Rain - Some segments

Some segments
many pains
they wait in your chest
and in their hearts.

Mixed chalks
with elusive tears
and patches of patches
in flooded streets.

XXI century
you stayed in your house
and my Argentina
It's still devastated.

Extreme perseverance
get out of ignorance.
An enhanced life
It grows between the ponds.

Lía Olga Herrera Soto.

El Requiebro de la Lluvia - Argentina 18-12-17

Algunos segmentos
muchos dolores
aguardan en tu pecho
y en sus corazones.

Tizas mezcladas
con esquivas lágrimas
y remiendos de remiendos
en calles anegadas.

Siglo XXI
te quedaste en tu casa
y mi Argentina
sigue devastada.

Extrema perseverancia
salir de la ignorancia.
Una emponderada vida
crece entre las charcas.

Luz en los Oscuros Jardines - Junto al Príncipe

A mi Padre

Junto al Príncipe
está sentado un mendigo.
El mendigo
comparte una palabra,
una caricia,
un mendrugo de pan.
Dios ama al mendigo
de eso estoy segura.

Meeting Petro Márkaris

To Baris with love
These days I was reading the books of petros Márkaris. i liked it a lot and I would like to present it to all these readers who, when they see a greek name, fly away. that ignorance towards the great Greek authors must end today, my dear ones !!!
Petro Márkaris was born in Istanbul in 1937. He did not stay there. He studied economics in Vienna and Stuttgart. Then, he settled in Athens, where he has resided since then.
Petros Márkaris was a film screenwriter. Wrote the screenplay of "The look of Ulysses" with Theo Angelópoulos Another one of my Greek Essentials !!! And Ulysses reminds me of a friend. I cried once because you did not like my poetry. Remember B. C.?
The great character of the pen of Márkaris is the Athenian commissar Kostas Jaritos. His series of novels is emblematic and analyzes the past and the future of Greece. I would tell them that it even allows us to see their future possibilities.
I recommend them as the doctor recommends a medicine for the Soul. You will see . . The problem that we have in the West is that each time we read less and each time we look at less author cinema and the seventh art is replaced by a commercial and egalitarian formula. It is as if globalization will try to standardize the other because it imposes a system of values in which everything must be anglozajonizar, just in case.
I say, is not Greece the cradle of Our Civilization? Every time I see more ignorant young people about Greece, the origin of Democracy and Culture to which they belong and that hurts me a lot. I will be trying to recommend a book by Petros Márkaris per month in the next year. God will be like that. Hugs from Argentina for everyone. . .

Conociendo a Petros Márkaris
